LIVING AS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

BIBLE TEXT:John 8:12

 “𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝙹𝚎𝚜𝚞𝚜 𝚜𝚙𝚘𝚔𝚎 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚎𝚘𝚙𝚕𝚎,𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍”𝙸 𝚊𝚖 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍.𝚆𝚑𝚘𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚏𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠𝚜 𝚖𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚗𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚊𝚕𝚔 𝚒𝚗 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚔𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜,𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎”

INTRODUCTION:As a Christian, you carry the light of God,you are to allow Christ shine through you. Wherever you’re shining, darkness dares not come near.
For instance, Light a candle in a room and its glow does not choose whom to reach. As long as someone is within those four walls, the light finds them, touching every corner,and refusing to leave anyone in the dark
In whatever you do put it at the back of your mind that your main goal is to bring people to the light.
You are not living this life for yourself.

Now you know what shining your light is, Let’s see how to actually live as the light. Don’t get me wrong, i don’t mean you should hold a candle and walk around with Christian plastered on your forehead.

Living as the light is proven by your actions, and not by mere words.

let’s see. Someone tells me they are living as the light of this world, but they bring people down with their words.
Are we seeing the contradiction here.

People don’t just want to hear the word light. They want to see it through you. If we do not allow it light to shine how are we going to encourage others.
“let your light so shine before men that your father in Heaven may see your good works,and glorify your father which is in heaven.”(Matthew 5:16)
We don’t force Christianity on people, you Live the life that shows you’re a Christian

So now how can we be this light
   ⁃     You bring people closer to God

   ⁃    Our relationship with God matters as we are the light of the world,

   ⁃    we need to read our Bible. The Bible  is a physical manual,not only on how to serve God but also on how to live as the light of the world.

We know what it takes to be the light. but just because you have the light doesn’t mean there won’t be obstacles or agents trying to dim it. We understand that darkness hates to see light, so it would try everything to dim it. After all,we all know it can’t consume it.

What can deem your light
   ⁃    Peer pressure
   ⁃    Bad friends
   ⁃    Anger
We have to be prepared as children of light doing works of God, we shall face tribulations but Good has conquered them all
As children of God we should be ourselves not competing with anybody.
